"Vash! Look what I got at the market today!" You squealed, running into the shared house and holding something behind her back.

You and Vash had been dating for about a year now. You moved in his cottage-styled house with him about six months ago from (Any other country). His house wasn't large, but not small either. It had a rather large garden in the front, two levels, and a shooting range overlooking the woods in the backyard. He entire place smelled of a mixture of the finest chocolate and gunpower, but it wasn't overwhelming. It was just right, to suit the both of you. His younger sister Lilli had moved out about a year before you came into the picture, but she visited often enough for it to feel like she still stayed.

The Swiss man looked over to you from the couch, crumpling his newspaper as he clenched his fists in slight annoyance. "How much did you spend?" Was his only question, looking at you with a tired expression.

"Why's that always the first thing you ask, huh!? How do you know I spent anything!?" You said, pouting and giving him a look.

"You said you went to market."

"Oh….. Well! Anyways!" You shook your head and happily skipped over to him, a little whimpering and clanging noise behind your back. Like metal bumping against metal. "Taa-daa!" You cheered as you pulled out a small cage from behind your back, with a white rabbit in it. The rabbit had light pink eyes and fluffy white fur, chewing on a daisy that was thrown in it's cage with straw. "Isn't she adorable!?"

Vash completely dropped his newspaper and had an odd mix of emotions. He was a little red at first (not even he could deny it's cuteness), but soon he began to look peeved. "(Y/N)…" He groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.

You frowned, tilting your head as you looked back and forth between him and the creature, trying to figure out what was wrong.

"You bought another, didn't you…?" He asked, pushing himself up off the couch to take the cage from you. He held it up to his eye level as the rabbit tried to regain it's footing.

"N-No… W-Why would I?" You mumbled, furrowing your eyebrows together and holding out your hands for your new beloved pet. Vash handed it over and you stroked it's fur through the bars.

He let out a groaning noise, looking between the animal and you. Yeah.. He figured he better not try and take it away now, you were already too attached. He could tell from your protective holding of the cage. "In Switzerland, it's illegal to only own one animal of a kind." He explained.

"Why's that….?"

"Because the animals will get lonely and they deserve to have friends!" He said quickly, turning a little red and skirting around you to the front door. He grabbed his coat off the hanger, holding yours out for you. You could already tell what he was planning. Or, you thought you did.

"V-Vash! No no no! Don't make me take her back! Pleeeeeease!" You whined, already feeling tears sting your eyes at the prospect.

"(Y/N)!" He called, grabbing your wrist and trying to get you to stand still. "No! We're going to go get another!" He explained in a strict tone, although he looked a little lost for words at your reaction. Well, now he certainly knew he was making the right decision.

You blinked, freezing. You got quiet for a long moment, before your lips slowly curved up into a smile. "W-We're gonna get another!?" You squeaked, bouncing on your feet a little and cheering as your boyfriend sighed. "Yes, we are.. Now come on…"

You fed your rabbit after you decided upon a name for it, and left it at home while the two of you walked out into the street. You held hands as you walked down the cobblestone roads, and giggled suddenly. Vash looked down at you, furrowing his brow.

"What that about?"

You smiled up to him, swinging your clasped hands back and forth. "I think it's cute you made that law. One so that all the animals have to have friends~" You gloated a little, giving him a cheesy smile.

He turned red and faced forward again, clearly flustered. "Sh-Shut up."
